LinkedIn Activity Now Part of Klout Score

June 17, 2011 | By | No Comments

Social media analysis firm Klout will now factor LinkedIn activity into their rating of social media influence. How does it work? When you add LinkedIn from the Klout dashboard, Klout assesses your activity on the professional social networking site. Those actions are then included with Twitter and Facebook activities to be incorporated into your score.

Not sure if a Klout score matters? On Mashable, Jennifer Van Grove writes that businesses have begun to test programs that award perks to social network users with higher scores. Other programs, like Seesmic, attach Klout scores to Tweets, which can affect how others perceive the messages.
