Have you checked-in to an original Yankee stadium seat yet? MasterCard has launched a Facebook Places campaign that sends fans on a hunt to find the 20 original stadium seats that are spread across New York City. Part of the MasterCard Priceless New York campaign, each fan check-in (completed by scanning a QR code) makes him or her eligible to win VIP tickets to a 2011 Yankee game in the company’s exclusive Batter’s Eye Café.

While you may not have pieces of baseball history at your disposal, you can still generate excitement by creating genuine and unique experiences for social media fans, whether it’s naming a muffin flavor after your bakery’s foursquare mayor or inviting a qualifying fan to preview a much-anticipated new product.
