Twitter Tools and Tricks
Using Twitter without using some third party sites can make using Twitter not only a bit confusing, it can take up a considerable amount of time to make it beneficial to your social media strategy. So before you throw in the towel or waste any of your social media time, here are 3 things I recommend you consider:
- Lists – Find lists already made by others in your industry. You can use a site like Listorious that allows you to search by tag and will return either people that have been listed with that tag or a list created with that tag. Then use a service like TweetDeck to monitor various lists at a time to make sense of the noise and organize what can otherwise look like clutter.
- Automate/schedule – Using sites like SocialOomph, Twaitter, and CoTweet you can automate following back someone who follows you or an auto-response. You can also schedule future tweets and repeat them throughout the day.
- Follow keywords/hashtags – By following keywords and hashtags you can find easily find relevant content to share. Sites like hashtags.org, Twemes.com, and WTHashtag.com, will you help you find hashtags around a particular topic, what popularity a hashtag has, and allow you to track the hashtags you’re interested in.
