Twitter Additions Make Sharing and Conversation Easier

June 6, 2011 | By | No Comments

Twitter continues the online trend toward media integration by adding support for six additional social media platforms. Users will now be able to see multimedia content from Amazon, AOL Video, Foursquare, Gowalla, Meetup, and Plancast within Twitter streams. These third-party sites join other social sites Twitter added last year, such as YouTube and TwitPic.

What does that mean for brands? It’s one more reason to add online listening to a social media strategy. This integration makes it easier than ever for Twitter users to view, share—and discuss—content on popular social networks.

Do you have the social media monitoring tools in place to tap into the conversation, recognize the buzz, and engage prospects and current customers?
