The LinkedIn Company Page: What Is It? Do You Need One?

Users can also see who in their personal LinkedIn network works for the company. And they can become followers of the business so that posts and updates appear automatically on their own LinkedIn home pages.
- The Careers tab acts as a job posting area for companies seeking applicants across the LinkedIn community. While a basic job posting is free, businesses are invited to upgrade to either the Silver or Gold Career Page, both of which provide greater opportunity for customization, for a fee. The Careers tab also provides a place for companies to showcase existing talent and outline key corporate values and benefits.
- In Products and Services, companies are able to provide greater detail regarding their business offerings. This is a very important tab, as it can be customized based on the attributes of the LinkedIn member viewing the page, so that only the most relevant products are displayed. It also displays product recommendations made by LinkedIn constituents — a powerful social validation tool.
- The Analytics tab is designed for use by the Company Page’s administrator. It provides ongoing statistics regarding who is visiting your pages, what they view and how your results compare to similar businesses on LinkedIn. It’s a great way to see what’s working and what needs to be improved.
