Social Strategy1 Off The Clock

October 11, 2011 | By | No Comments

Most Americans spend plenty of time working but when they are off the clock; they need to find activities, events, and other causes to help their community.

The Human Race

I was recently asked to join the Board of Directors for the JT Townsend Foundation (JTTF), “a nonprofit organization whose mission is to better the lives of children and adults with disabilities on the First Coast by providing financial assistance, adaptive equipment, and research funding.”  The JTTF is very close to Social Strategy1 and we want to help our friend JT Townsend lessen the burden for others with disabilities.

Last Saturday I participated with the JT Townsend Foundation Team in the Human Race 5K.  Although it decided to monsoon near the end, everyone on our team finished the race! It was very fulfilling for me because I have never run an official distance race, and I actually finished faster than expected. I highly encourage everyone to find a cause close to their heart and help out; even if it is just a little time, any aid can make a difference.

How does your company or brand give back to the community?

Steve Ennen’s HOF Induction

Social Strategy1’s President and Chief Intelligence Officer Steve Ennen, was inducted Saturday October 8th into his alma mater, William Jewell College’s Athletic Hall of Fame in Liberty, Mo. Steve and his 1982 Cardinal football teammates advanced the furthest ever in the (NAIA II) postseason in the school’s history. The Cardinals reached the (NAIA II) National Championship Game and finished 2nd in the nation that year.

Steve’s team won the Heart of America Athletic Conference title and finished with a 10-2 overall record.  Congratulations to Steve and his fellow Cardinals for their induction into William Jewell College’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
