PR Behind in Social Media Use, Say Reporters
Journalists and PR blend like peanut butter and jelly. Okay, maybe they don’t always get along quite that well, but they do need each other. Yet while 90% of U.K. journalists surveyed by Daryl Willcox Publishing say they’ve latched onto social media, 45% of those same journalists say PR professionals don’t use social media enough to disseminate news.
According to the 900 journalists surveyed, they primarily receive public relations content via channels like email and phone. Only 29% reported receiving PR news items through Twitter.
